  2. We will fill ourselves with love

We will not survive on misery.

We will fill ourselves with love.

We are searching, we are hopeful,

    we are anything but lost

I see the stars in black and white,

and I pray to God most every night.

  3. I’ve been in the funkiest funk, but I think I’m breaking out. Combine a mixture of stress, nerves and uncertainty and what do you get? Well, you just get me.

Moments before the ceremony, Matt and I gave each other handwritten letters to read together {between a door}. This was such an intimate moment and I am so glad we decided to do it.

  6. "Not being able to fully understand God is frustrating, but it is ridiculous for us to think we have the right to limit God to something we are capable of comprehending. What a stunted, insignificant god THAT would be! If my mind is the size of a soda can and God is the size of all the oceans, it would be stupid for me to say He is only the small amount of water I can scoop into my little can."

  7. Severely neglecting Tumblr.

This post happens bi-monthly. I’ll try to get back into once I get my life back.

In the mean time, I’m working on my wordpress:

  8. Journalism major

Spend majority of your night working on a series of essays for a non-related journalism course.

Remember you’re the only journalism student in the class and you don’t need to spend SO much time editing it - It’s already the best one.

    Cocky? Probably. True? Yup.

  9. This semester I enrolled in this gender communications class with the false assumption that it would be interesting. It has so much potential, but it’s monopolized by the teacher preaching about her own experiences instead of letting any of us students talk. Take today, for example, she harped in this idea of a “man’s world.”
ANYWAYS - This picture expresses how I feel. Maybe it’s naive of me, maybe I’ll experience the “glass ceiling” later in life, but as for now when women start a tirade about how we live in a man’s world it just gets to me. Do they not see that it’s really NOT a man’s world? And that by continually saying that they’re only perpetuating this ancient belief.
I think being a woman is the most powerful thing in the world and if you’re a female and you don’t realize that you’re only investing in this theory that women are second-class to men.
Think about it. Men are so easily enticed by women and it’s easy to see why. We’re creatures of beauty, of mystery, of emerging independence and of intellect. We’re nurturing, yet bad ass. We’re a force that is developing power on a daily basis. I think this is the generation of the power woman and I’m so fortunate to be living in it.
Even more than that, I’m fortunate to be a woman.
